A 17-year-old teenager has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 48-year-old woman has died.
Police were called to Warrington this morning, at around 9.40am, to reports of a domestic incident. Officers found the woman seriously injured outside a house in Phoenix Place.
An air ambulance landed nearby but despite the best efforts of emergency services, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.
