Manchester Airport has been evacuated following the accidental activation of a fire panel, according to reports. Footage shows passengers evacuating terminal three as tourists face long waiting times. A Twitter user shared images of the scene along with the caption: “Terminal 3 evacuation following accidental activation of a fire panel.”
A Manchester Airport spokesperson confirmed that a member of the public had accidentally pushed one of the “break glass to activate” fire alarms.
The area had to be cleared due to health and safety protocols, but it is now clear and flights are running as scheduled.
