Police are on high alert after a man allegedly threatened drivers with what is believed to be a firearm near the prestigious Eton College. The incident occurred between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Bunces Close and Eton Wick Road in Windsor, which is just over a mile away from the world-renowned public school.

Known for charging up to £46,296 per year in fees, the university boasts alumni including British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, former Prime Minister David Cameron and Prince William, among others.

Thames Valley Police are investigating two cases in which the offender apparently pointed a small firearm at a man in his seventies and another in his sixties.

The first victim was traveling through Bunces Close when the offender approached, leveled the firearm and heard a thump before driving away.

The gun was also pointed at the second victim in Eton Wick Road before he was taken away.

After specialized police searches in the vicinity, no one was found injured and no evidence of firearms was found.

Police are looking for witnesses and dashcam video to help them with their investigation.

The offender is believed to have escaped into the River Thames via the Eton Wick Road footpath alongside the allotments.

Police are currently investigating whether the firearm used was an air gun or similar.

The suspect is described as a stocky guy in his thirties, between 5’9″ and 5’11” tall.

He was dressed in black pants, a dark-colored hooded top and black sneakers, with a Covid-style face mask covering his face, according to Thames Valley police.

He may also have been wearing sunglasses, according to police.
