The official YouTube documentary series episode of the week takes Queen fans back to 1982 when Freddy Mercury and the band performed at the Milton Keynes Bowl as part of their Hot Space Tour.
The focus song in the live footage this time is Dragon Attack, which brian may he wrote for Queen’s 1980 album The Game.
The B-side track from Another One Bites The Dust is known for its funky sound and in this rendition there is a sudden flow towards a reprise of Now I’m Here from Sheer Heart Attack from 1974.
Eagle-eyed fans should keep an eye out for the moment right at the start when Brian snaps a guitar string on his Red Special, but switches to a spare and moves on.
Dragon Attack was “savored by the long nights the lineup spent at the Sugar Shack nightclub in central Munich while recording at Musicland Studios.
The club is even referenced in the lyrics to Dragon Attack: “Take me to the room where the black is all white and the white is all black / Take me back to the cabin.”
Brian shared: “He got very late one night, or early one morning, probably very drunk.”
